Já tinha vinha visto a técnica - English paper piecing - e decidi experimentar... Confesso que se pode tornar viciante (no bom sentido) e é óptimo para dar uso a pequenos retalhos de tecido que vão sobrando de outros projectos. O que vou fazer com eles?

My first blanket...

Em miúda sempre sonhei ter uma manta de retalhos. Quando nasceu o meu Sebastião, prometi a mim mesma que logo que ele me deixasse voltar às costura fazia uma. E fiz...Fiz a minha primeira manta de retalhos ツ Foi uma saga, que durou umas três semanas (que com um pequenino a pedir sempre atenção até acho que nem foi muito tempo...) e aqui está o resultado: é de algodão de ambos os lados e no meio é uma manta polar quentinha. A mãe está satisfeita, só espero que o meu pequenino também fique!

When I as a kid always dreamed of having a patchwork quilt. When my Sebastião was born, I promised myself that as soon as he let me go back to sewing I would make one. And I did... I make my first patchwork quilt ツ It was a saga that lasted three weeks (that with a little boy always ask for attention wan't was too long...) and here is the result: it is on both sides cotton and in the middle is a warm fleece blanket. The mother is happy, I just hope that my little boy stay as well!
